Food and drink specials are such a deal, they're available at the bar only, and no to-go orders are allowed. But fewer folks know about his J-Bar, smack dab in the center of the restaurant and serving a killer, low-cost happy-hour menu Mondays through Saturdays from 5 to 7 p.m.

Overall a nice place and it was a fun experience for the first time. The terrific food at Roaring Fork is no secret - chef/owner Robert McGrath was named this year's Best Chef in the Southwest by the James Beard Foundation. All the female bartenders were super sweet and helpful, and the drinks were great. So that set the mood (hence the 4 stars) as I agree with the reviews stating some of them are rude. Pros outweigh the cons of this place for sure! Had only one jerk of a bartender when we first arrived, as he rolled his eyes and treated everyone really rudely like he didn’t want to be there. Right side of the building takes you to the small bar, mini basketball nets, foosball, skee-ball, a dance floor (where the live music is), and a mini outdoor area. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors on this side, as well as many cool outdoor game tables and activities for those who are interested. Left takes you towards the big main indoor bar areas and the main outdoor area. Once inside you’re able to go left or right. **You get a wristband, and CANNOT LEAVE AND COME BACK, because they make you take off your wristband before leaving.** For people who smoke, you’re not allowed to bring any of it inside, (this includes vapes) and will be asked to put it in your car or throw it away so heads up. So MAJOR security checks here which was both a good and a bad thing. Upon going in, there are about 5 security guards standing there ready to check ID’s, then you have to go through a metal detector, while you empty out all of your pockets and get your bag searched (yes, they go through your stuff so be mindful). Interesting first time at The Salt Yard! We went on a somewhat busy Saturday night with friends for some drinks and live music. We easily devoured both fantastic desserts! They have a fantastic wine, beer and drink menu – ideal for Happy Hours too! The ambience at ZINC is beautiful upscale, service is fantastic, and prices very reasonable for the great quality of food.

Absolutely mouth-watering! YUM! Then for dessert, I ordered the Chocolate Truffle with 3 samples of chocolate, and my wife ordered the Chocolate Chip-Walnut Gateau. My dinner was also fantastic, with 5 huge beef-packed ravioli covered in a rich red wine sauce, along with tender baby carrots, pearl onions, mushrooms, English peas, over a celery root-potato puree. My wife said the lemon coulis base was interesting, but too bitter for her tastes – she avoided it. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the artichokes and carrots were perfectly tender, and the 2 crab spanakopita’s were exquisite. We started with a special new appetizer – Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs it was amazingly tasty and delicious! My wife ordered the Pan-Seared Aegean Sea Branzino, and I ordered the Braised Beef Ravioli Bourguignon. First, we have to THANK our super-fantastic server Jesse for his constant attentiveness and excellent suggestions for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We went to dinner at ZINC on Central Avenue, on our way to the PopeJoy Theater’s KING AND I production, and the food and service was absolutely OUTSTANDING – as usual! We’ve been to Zinc many times before, and this was another great experience.
